Kristie Doheny, PsyD, LMSW, LMHC, RPT, Counselor in Middle Village
While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life. If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.
With over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families, I specialize in person centered therapy which enables me to create individualized treatment for each client I meet.
At our practice we use humanistic therapy techniques. I use a variety of techniques such play therapy, sandplay therapy, expressive therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and person centered therapy. I believe that every individual or family is unique and the treatment should be catered to their needs.
