Mark Hurrell, MA, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Huntington Beach
My successful client is interested in bettering themselves, is open to suggestions and is willing to work hard to improve their life. I would enjoy assisting you in bringing joy, adventure and romance back to your relationship. Are you stuck in a job where you feel unfulfilled? I can help you create a position, or market yourself to find satisfaction in your job. Is depression or anxiety hindering you from doing things you enjoy? You're likely to respond to my CBT based program to assist you in recognizing patterns that are holding you prisoner and keeping you from your dreams.
You can be helped by cognitive-behavior therapy for depression, anxiety, anger, childhood abuse, domestic violence, obsessive-compulsive disorder or hoarding. I help individuals recognize their behaviors and thoughts and retrain themselves to have more positive thoughts and to learn new more beneficial success-oriented behaviors. Your life will be optimized!
I also have a credential in school psychology and work with parents of children or adolescents with ADHD, autism, behavior problems, learning disabilities, mental illness and other challenges to have a more harmonious home. As a parent you can learn effective skills and build on those you already have.

Rescuing Your Relationship

We have groups for adults, adolescents, and children to learn about their challenges, develop compensatory strategies for success such as time and stress management, organizational, and planning among others. Group members will learn about self-advocacy and will learn to develop resources to assist them, as well as learn guidelines for developing a strong support system. Individuals will share with one another and learn from one another. This is a very hands-on, experiential workshop giving many tools that can be used immediately.
