Ilene Crysler Bosscher, MA, MDIV, LMFT, LPCC, RPT, Counselor in Louisville
Are you ready for a CHANGE? For you, your child, or family member? Counseling is about processing where you are, how you got there, and how to change. My approach, Solution Focused Brief Therapy will guide you to understand what is working well for you, what is not, what life could be like without that, and to understand your perspective of the process of change. Are you ready to reach for a better you, a better life, better relationships, or spiritual depth? I have counseled hundreds of clients who wanted these same changes and have successfully accomplished them through counseling.
My training in Relationship Therapy: PREP, Prepare/Enrich, Gottman, Imago, and Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as Theraplay. I also earned a PostGraduateCertificate in Play Therapy, which is how children and adolescents are counseled. These together have prepared me to counsel individuals and families with excellent, research-proven therapeutic interventions.
I have found that every client benefits from research based knowledge of relationships and attachment and especially when they are approaching how to understand and improve themselves or any of their relationships. In addition to talk therapy, I can employ many expressive arts therapies, a gentle, effective way to explore.

More about this group

The Christian Perspective of Self

The group's topic is personal insight from a Christian perspective. Many people find this group to be a safe, comfortable place to start exploring themselves, the Christian character, and their relationships. We have a workbook to guide us and give a structure to this group. I have earned a Masters of Divinity in Theology that give me a foundation to lead this group.

Loss

Loss comes in many different forms: job loss, relationship loss, financial loss and loss of someone who is chronically ill and not who they use to be. Loss is something everyone goes through throughout their lives but not everyone deals with it. Many people believe they can 'just handle it themselves.' Some have found it helpful to join a group that deals with loss and to hear how others experience it, process through it, and came out of the process more resilient. We have a workbook to follow for our structure and plenty of fellowship and sharing.
