Alex A. Avila, MA, LPC, CACI, NCC, CBCP, Licensed Professional Counselor in Lone Tree
Healthy relationships and freedom from addictions, depression, low self-esteem, and excessive stress, anger, and anxiety are possible and essential for enjoying a fulfilling life. At times we need help from an experienced professional who listens, understands, and believes our pain, someone who can help us overcome and grow through a crisis. Making sure that each client feels safe and comfortable while talking about personal concerns is my fundamental priority. Then, I help people renew hope for their future and rebuild conflicted relationships. Finally, a personalized plan is developed to help you handle future challenges well.
Using evidence-based Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I help individuals, couples & families enjoy positive, lasting change. In counseling & workshops, I help couples develop a closer bond and lasting intimacy! I help people heal in my Pornography & Sex Addiction and Partners Betrayal Recovery groups.
From the start, I view the whole person (mind, body, and spirit) and work to identify each individual's and couple's existing strengths and resources and help put those valuable assets to work for them. We consider thoughts, emotions, and bodily responses to bring an enjoyable, balanced life!
