Amy J. Trabitz, Ph.D. and Associates, P.C., PhD, Psychologist in Dearborn
I have worked with children, teenagers and adults for over 25 years. I provide a warm, friendly, and "human" environment for clients and their families within which we can work together to address the concerns and problems that are creating problems in everyday life. In today's environment, there are so many pressures on kids and their parents...school, friends, finances, jobs...and sometimes it seems overwhelming. Together we can find some solutions to make coping with life's stresses easier and more productive. Communication is a key factor, as well as developing strategies that help in managing those difficult situations.
I have experience helping people manage depression, anxiety, anger, school and ADD/ADHD issues, as well as relationship and couples issues. I provide psychological assessments and testing for school-age children, as well. My associates also specialize in working with children and teenagers, couples, a geriatric population, health concerns, and substance abuse issues.
My approach to individual and family treatment is warm, and solution-oriented. I utilize a sense of humor and an eagerness to understand and help as important therapeutic tools to create a productive therapeutic environment. My associates have varied specialties, and they all adhere to the same values and practices that I expect and practice.
