“I work with individuals and families interested in healing and growth in all areas of their lives: physical, intellectual, emotional, relational, and spiritual. About half of my clients have been affected by cancer or another life-changing illness. A large percentage of my clients are Christians. I enjoy helping clients who struggle with depression, those considering adoption, middle and high school students, young adults wrestling with who they are, those who grew up with a difficult parent, and whole families who see a need to be healthier in the ways they live together.

“As a seasoned Mental Health Professional, I realize that everyone experiences problems that arise in our daily lives. It is normal to feel anxiety, depression, grief and loss, stress and difficulties with relationships. As parents, we might experience discipline and school problems with our children. This may lead to feelings of low self esteem, guilt and self doubt. Working with and getting the guidance of a trained professional will give you the tools to approach problems and create positive change. Seeking help is a sign of STRENGTH! North Tampa Depression Treatment Center, Treatment Facility in Wesley Chapel
“Depression is a mental illness defined by persistent feelings of sadness and a loss of interest in usual activities. The symptoms associated with this mood disorder interfere with the ability to work, sleep, eat, or enjoy what used to be pleasurable. Having major depression can be extremely disabling and prevent a person from engaging in normal day-to-day functions. While some individuals may only experience a single episode within their lifetime, it is common for others to experience multiple episodes. Dysthymia is a form of depressive disorder that lasts at least two years. Although the symptoms of dysthymia may not be severe enough to disable a person, they can still cause an individual to have trouble functioning normally. Minor depression is diagnosed when an individual has symptoms for at least two weeks, but they are not severe enough to meet the criteria for major depression. However, men and women with minor depression should still receive treatment because they are at a high risk for developing major depressive disorder. Depression is more than just a bout of the blues - it's not something you can simply snap out of. This disorder requires long term treatment for individuals to recover.

Angela Damianakis, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Trinity
Verified by Psychology Today
Clinical Social Work/Therapist, BA, MSW, LCSW
“My life work is to lift the fallen, restore the broken and to heal the hurting. Psychotherapy is the conduit for meaningful inquiries and substantive dialogue. A lonely person is lonely even when surrounded by a crowd of people; a bitter person, an angry person the same. People too often believe that circumstances govern who they are and what they have become. People look everywhere outside of themselves for fulfillment. Some of the sages called this "being scattered." I wish to help those who have grown scattered.
