Dr. Angela M Snyder

Psychologist , PsyD

(202) 681-3923
Often when people come to see me, they have been experiencing the pain and challenges of life much more than the pleasure, and they desire to feel better and enjoy life more fully. I have worked with men and women who experience this pain in many forms, including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, grief, or the aftermath of trauma. In addition, I have worked extensively with immigrants, first generation citizens, international students and professionals, and people who consider themselves multicultural.
I work with adolescents and adults in individual and couple therapy. I work in a caring, calming, and non-judgmental manner to help you to understand the sources of your struggles. Through this process, you can gain greater clarity and compassion for what has led you to where you are today.
We will work together so that you can be more mindful of your thoughts, feelings, and hopes. This will help you to develop better coping skills and make new choices that ultimately will lead to more satisfying work, play, and relationships.

Dr. Angela M Snyder's groups

Journey of Recovery

A group for women in recovery from an eating disorder. This group will help members determine and engage in healthy activities and goals; share ongoing strategies and encouragement for symptom alleviation; process family and relationship struggles in the here and now; and develop and sustain deeper and more fulfilling relationships. This group is designed for women who alternate between periods of symptom usage and no periods of symptom usage, and/or are engaged in minimal symptom usage and actively working on recovery goals, and who seek a complement to their individual therapy with a desire to improve interpersonal relationships.
