I am a seasoned professional with 20+ rewarding years working with families and children. I have rich experience, extensive education and passion for what I do. I choose to specialize in working with family and chidren's issues in order to provide the best experience for those I work with. I am a registered play therapist-supervisor (RPT-S) recognized by the Association for Play Therapy (www.a4pt.org). I believe that growth occurs in a collaborative, therapeutic environment where clients feel safe to work through issues, modify behaviors, and heal trauma.
As a former educator, house parent, case manager, and now as a therapist, I have devoted my life to helping and healing children and families in need. I believe that with a bit of humor and a lot of determination, we all have the capacity to make changes, grow and succeed.
I specialize in working with children 10 and under. My success comes from integrating services with parents/caregivers as I do not believe in working with children in isolation. Play Therapy and CBT are my primary interventions as well as parenting skill building.
