I have been a practicing psychotherapist for over 20 years and am currently a Doctoral Candidate pursuing my PhD. I specialize in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive therapy and embodiment, which is the integration of a mind/body approach into psychotherapy. I am also a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist, and meditation teacher. I work from a compassionate, humanistic approach, whereby, I believe in each individual's unique capacity for change along with the belief that you have the answers within, it's just a matter of finding them.
I specialize in working with eating disorders along with depression, anxiety, panic disorder; PTSD/Trauma; life changes; Women's issues; infertility; post partum depression. I have developed, taught and presented programs in embodied mindfulness which is an alternative intervention for mind/body integration. I also mentor and supervise therapists.
I am also a Certified Yoga Teacher & Yoga Therapist. I specialize in the integration of a mind/body approach to the healing of Trauma/PTSD & Eating disorders. My doctoral research is in eating disorder recovery and self-compassion. I work from a holistic view of recovery for long-term healing, beyond just behavioral change.
