Reaching out to another is often a courageous first step in initiating beneficial change. Everyone has within them an essential wisdom that can be accessed to grow, heal, and fully develop. By exploring current difficulties and concerns in a supportive environment, my clients and I tailor an approach uniquely suited to addressing their needs. As we listen deeply to these matters, we discover new ways of seeing life situations and responding to them. My practice areas include individual, couple and relationship counseling, depression, anxiety, self-esteem, early life abuse, family issues, parenting, spiritual exploration, and financial counseling.
Therapy works best if it is client-centered and outcome-based. Working primarily from a psychodynamic and family systems framework, I assist clients to develop greater wholeness and sense of self WHILE in relationship with others AND working towards desired outcomes such as greater life satisfaction, effectiveness, and healthier relationships.
My approach is holistic. Some people find that their spiritual perspectives (however understood) are important for healing work. I am willing to address spirituality/religion in the context of psychotherapy if clients find this useful. Accompanying you on your life journey in ways that best serve you is my intent.
