I have over 20 years experience treating panic attacks, phobias, anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and marital distress with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). All treatment is offered in an atmosphere of collaboration, validation and respect. Supportive coaching and motivation enhancement are added for those who need help getting started and staying focused through the often challenging process of change. In addition to my own practice, I am Director of the Cognitive Health Group, a team of psychologists and social workers who provide high quality CBT on a sliding scale.
I am also President-Elect of the New York City Cognitive Behavior Therapy Association (NYC-CBT), and an Assistant Adjunct Professor at Columbia University-Teacher's College.
And as a person who has made peace with anxiety and depression in his own life, it is now my mission to help others with these common, debilitating problems. My professional work is further enhanced by the practical study of mindfulness meditation and yoga.
