As a therapist, I seek to join my clients in the creative process of therapy, to come up with helpful solutions to ease their struggles and bring more joy back into their lives. We walk together through the fog in search of pockets of sunshine. I strive to not only see my clients’ emotional health, but also their physical, spiritual, and relational health, looking to each for clues that might hold healing. I am innately curious, compassionate, and focused on my clients’ strengths.
I work with couples and individuals of many backgrounds and orientations who are experiencing a wide variety of challenges: depression, anxiety, communication issues, life changes, self-esteem issues, relationship conflict, among others. I am passionate about working with women experiencing prenatal or postpartum anxiety or depression.
In therapy, I use a variety of techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), family systems, and mindfulness. I am a certified Prepare-Enrich facilitator and offer premarital counseling packages. Aside from counseling, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, jogging, and reading.
