I specialize in treating anxiety and trauma and I am committed to helping people reclaim their lives from the effects of anxiety, panic, and trauma. I enjoy helping people recover from difficult or traumatic experiences that cause ongoing issues. This includes folks who have had traumas including: childhood trauma/abuse; adult life-threatening experiences; terrifying and overwhelming events; and experiences of exclusion and oppression including racism, sexism, heterosexism, ageism, etc.. I help with recovery from traumatic experiences in the workplace including employer abuse/manipulation, personal safety issues, and traumatizing or dysfunctional workplaces. Professional burnout is a specialty.
I take a short-term treatment approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR which are the "gold standards" for anxiety and trauma treatment. With these approaches, true change is truly possible. I regularly treat traumas and anxieties in firefighters, police officers, doctors, nurses, teachers and therapists.
By nature, I am a practical, direct, and results-oriented person. So my ideal client is someone with anxiety, stress, or burnout who sincerely wants to overcome their issues and who is willing to do the work necessary to make that happen.
