My strengths include a warm and relational manner and a compassionate nature. I can help people who are struggling with relationship issues, including, individuals, couples, families and work related relationship problems. My approach to relationship issues is based on the emotional dynamics that emerge in the process and on psychodynamic theory. I am a certified IMAGO THERAPIST utilizing specific techniques to resolve couples issues. I also work extensively with anxiety and depression. I studied at the Harvard Mind and Body Institute, and I combine this information into mind body work to help anxiety and depression.
I work with depression and anxiety, utilizing methods of Cognitive Therapy. I help individuals connect to their true selves, so that real enduring confidence emerges. When you are in touch with yourself your life is guided by your inner voice. I also work with stress related issues, utilizing, relaxation methods, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral refocusing.
I have my masters from New York University and my Ph.D. from Smith College. My dissertation specialized in couples work and emotional attachments. I am a member of The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapist, studied at the Ackerman Institute. I am a certified Imago Therapist and have also studied Jungian dream work.
