Elizabeth Ann Alliman, MA, LPC, Counselor in Colorado Springs
My husband, who is also a counselor, often works with me on marital and family issues. We also do Couples Intensives - a four day program for local and out-of-state couples. Getting to the core problem as quickly as possible is our intent. We have great hope for all marriages. I often use testing and assessment measures to help expose the repetitive underlying matters. My husband and I have been married for 51 years. We believe it is important to include all three aspects of our human makeup - body, soul, and spirit. We believe our experience is our greatest asset.
I also enjoy working with men and women with depression and/or bipolar disorder. I have worked both inpatient and outpatient and feel people with personality or clinical disorders need an empathetic, genuine, warm and encouraging safe place to unravel the confusion and mystery of their particular struggles.
I have personally experienced a blended family (four kids), which resulted in major depression at one point. I have 'been there' which gives me first hand insight to many individual and personal issues.
