Gayle Bohlman, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Baltimore
Defining characteristics of my work are my many years of experience, over 25 years in practice, and benefits of a holistic approach incorporating the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects in assessment and treatment. I utilize cognitive and behavioral techniques to assist clients in change. I often integrate the perspectives of Carl Jung in work with developmental issues throughout the life span, and with exploring metaphors and symbols as helpful for growth and healing. I am trained in EMDR. I am certified as a yoga instructor, and incorporate the physiological benefits and philosophical perspectives of yoga in my work.
Psyche in Greek translates as Soul, and so each client is approached with an attitude of soul tending. The focus is on discerning and mirroring the needs, struggles and intentions of the psyche's movement towards growth and wholeness.
