I know it is necessary to feel comfortable and trust a person, who is listening to your experience. I know it won't happen if from the onset, thoughts about you are viewed, and treated by the therapist like everyone else. My approach to understanding relationship problems, whether it is with a child, parent, friend, partner or marriage is to interpret how the person experience it, because there is a reason for everything, and usually a solution. It may not be recognized, and a cycle of conflict continues, but that is when I will provide an invaluable service to you.
Doctorate level education: Cognitive Behavioral, and Trauma Therapy. Excellent analytic skills. 5th yr, Doctorate Student in Clinical Psychology (Psych.D), Educated in Cognitive and Behavioral Therapy by licensed psychologists ; Masters Clinical Psychology/ Masters Degree in Social Work, Licensed Professional Counselor & Social Worker. Each visit to Self-Images for therapy is progress. Treatment is brief, and not long-term ( time extends in situations of complex trauma, and severe multiple problems). Clients know treatment goals, and a projected treatment plan. Client learn how to stay well; control anxiety; communicate effectively; manage children; forget trauma.
