****NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS*** For better or worse our early relationships strongly impact our emotional experiences as adults, often in ways we do not understand. If you're dissatisfied in your life, you probably have tried to find solutions on your own before considering contacting a therapist. Or maybe you tried therapy and it only helped you temporarily or partially, but never got to the heart of the problem. I work with adults and couples facing challenges and who seek a deeper understanding of themselves. There is a biological need to feel understood that exists within all of us, which is where our emotional life exists.
Therapy is a process where you become more connected to yourself. Through the therapy anxiety, shame and aloneness diminishes, as more authentic parts of the self emerge. Everyone suffers sometimes from distress and dissastisfaction. Even if you do not have emotional issues, therapy can help you overcome obstacles that have kept you from self-fulfillment.

Former Adjunct Psychology Professor of Baruch College-City University of New York. Published in Journal Psychotherapy in Independent Practice, Adolescence & Personality & Individual Differences.
