TRUST--CONFIDENCE--UNDERSTANDING-- As a licensed psychologist specializing in adults and children, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and a certified addiction counselor, I have been serving the community for 20 years. Being a natural and experienced clinician and educator, I have an easy yet professional approach to providing an effective and comfortable counseling experience. My philosophy of treatment is one of COMMITMENT, MUTUAL RESPECT AND INTEGRITY, as patients are encouraged to be in partnership with me regarding their care. For most concerns I provide a range of solution focused clinical services including individual, couple, child, and family therapy, as well as assessments.
Psychological evaluations for medical procedures, substance abuse, employment, and a variety of mental health issues are offered. Consultations and coaching for personal and professional situations are available. As an Approved Consultant for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis I offer my hypnosis specialty as a unique treatment option for difficult conditions and habits.
In addition, the use of spirituality and humor are often important aspects of my work when appropriate. As an adjunct professor for a graduate counseling program I am well-versed in current research and treatment approaches. Overall, helping people lead healthy and productive lives is the primary goal of my practice.
