Welcome to Sentience Psychological Services. You might be wondering what the word "sentience" means. Sentience is the ability to feel, perceive, and have self-awareness through emotional experiences. Having the full capacity to feel and perceive both the rewarding and challenging sensations of life in a balanced way supports psychological health. The goal of my practice is to provide conscientious psychological services for people presenting with emotional or behavioral challenges that may be an obstacle in their life. We can provide comprehensive services including therapy, evaluation, consultation, teaching/ lecture, and expert testimony.
In addition to the services that I provide, I have a wonderful group of therapists (doctoral students and masters-level counselors) who are also available for appointments at a reduced rate. While they do not accept insurance, we can provide you with documentation for out of network reimbursement.
Mental and emotional wellbeing are fundamental components to your health. Just as seeking medical attention for health concerns supports physical health, using therapy to address emotional challenges is a proactive means of nurturing a healthy mind. A psychological evaluation can identify emotional/behavioral impairments and also highlight psychological/cognitive strengths.
