Jennie L Jordan

Clinical Social Work/Therapist , LCSW-C

(301) 710-0618
I have over 20 years experience working with adults and adolescents providing therapy for a wide range of issues. My treatment approach focuses on bridging the natural healing potential between mind and body. Through gentle breathing, relaxation, and imagery techniques I help clients identify and locate feelings in their bodies. This is especially important to be able to safely explore trauma work. Through this focused awareness, clients can more easily self-regulate their emotions while they work to resolve trauma.
Trauma can be any disturbing life event, including childhood physical / sexual abuse, date rape, school bullying, or loss. Unresolved trauma can be triggered by current life stressors and can interfere with self-image and relationships. I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) to treat mind/body dysregulation or PTSD.
I also offer ego state, somatic, and cognitive behavioral therapy for general counseling. I'd like the opportunity to speak with you to find out if my treatment approach can help promote your healing.
