You deserve to be happy! If you feel depressed, worried, anxious, overwhelmed, or just unsatisfied with your life, therapy can help. Often people have had an experience in their past that interferes with their ability to be happy in the present, or they just need to learn new skills and behavior patterns to cope with changes in their life. I can help you or your children realize your full potential for happiness. I have a particular specialty in working with children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced loss, sexual assault or abuse, and other potentially traumatic events.
I work together with clients to identify treatment goals together. I try to empower clients, help them identify their own strengths, and teach them new skills in order to solve their problems. I also employ a comprehensive approach to emotional well-being, addressing the mind-body components of psychological health.
Of course it is important to find a therapist who is well-qualified, but it is equally important to find someone with whom you feel comfortable talking. My primary objective is to create a safe, supportive atmosphere that allows clients to openly share their thoughts and feelings.
