Jennifer A Watts, PhD, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Atlanta
If you have reached a point in your life where you find yourself struggling with difficult feelings, thoughts, decisions, or behaviors--or if you are facing difficulties in your relationship--psychotherapy can help you find your way forward. For over nine years I have provided psychotherapy in Metro Atlanta, working with individuals and couples on issues related to depression and anxiety, relationships, sexual identity, life transitions, and personal growth and development. I would welcome the opportunity to work with you, and I invite you to visit my web site to learn more about me and my practice:
I believe in the importance of creating a safe atmosphere and building trust to work collaboratively with clients. I enjoy working both with individuals and with couples, and I have experience helping couples in different stages of relationship: those already partnered or married, and those seeking pre-marital counseling.
In my work with couples I follow a thorough assessment and feedback process based on Gottman Method Couple Therapy, in which I have received Level II training, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. With studies in pastoral counseling, I am sensitive to issues of spirituality and faith in clients' lives, where relevant.
