As an experienced and objective listener, I offer a safe place for clients seeking support, encouragement, and hope. Whether working through difficult life transitions, experiencing anxiety, depression or grief, needing to improve important relationships, or setting new career goals, I assist clients to find productive ways to think about and act upon their goals. By identifying ineffective patterns in relationships, family of origin issues, communication styles, or unexamined mental filters or scripts, I support each client as he/she has the courage to find new insights and to try new strategies that offer success and greater happiness.
In addition to my advanced training and experience with adult individuals, I have specialized training in couple and family counseling. When there are unresolved and persistent conflicts and rough times in important relationships, re-working how to think about and approach problems can be transformative......opportunities for healing and growth.
I'm trained to use many approaches and work hard to find what works best for each client. I honor each individual's strengths and personality style in building a unique solution based approach. Mindfulness training/practice is often especially helpful as part of the skill set clients develop.
