My specialty is centered around those who are undergoing life transitions, such as going from adolescence to adulthood; transitioning from college; building a family; or other adjustment issues with which people may struggle. Whether I'm working with an individual, couple, or a group, I continually seek out feedback as to how treatment is progressing for them. Therapy should be an effective collaborative effort. Additionally, I incorporate mind and body integration techniques, such as yoga and relaxation, which can relieve stress, anxiety and be helpful for numerous other issues.
I have a sub-specialization in Reproductive Health--assisting with issues of infertility, pregnancy loss, perinatal mood disorders, birth trauma or other reproductive concerns. These are issues that our culture doesn't talk about and thus can feel isolating.
I believe there is a strong connection between our minds and bodies. We don't pay much attention to what our bodies say. Using conventional therapy techniques and yoga, I help to integrate these aspects of a person to develop a greater awareness of self: mind and body as one
