Justin Dentry, MS, LPC, NCC, Counselor in Denver
In order to effect real and meaningful changes in ourselves we have to go deeper than just talking about what's wrong. Neuroscience tells us that over 80% of what we do, think, and feel, is out of our conscious awareness. I utilize an integrative approach blending "core level" modalities such as Hakomi, Internal Family Systems, and EMDR. An umbrella over all of these methods is mindfulness principles which are used both in session and practiced in life. All of these methods are empirically evidence-based, as is mindfulness, and my work is heavily influenced by current interpersonal neurobiology findings.
My warm and approachable style creates the necessary container to help clients go inside themselves and to heal the parts of themselves which are causing so much pain and dysfunction. You are not broken, you do not need "fixing." You hold the key to healing yourself.
Inside of you there is a being that is whole, healthy, and functional. You just need a guide to help you find that part of you; someone who has also been in the client seat and understands what it's like. I'm skilled, I'm compassionate, Let me help.
