I work collaboratively with individuals and families to help them discover creative ways to reach their aspirations and live the life they envision. I support clients as they tell their story and explore ways to build upon their strengths, enhance their coping skills, and improve the quality of their relationships. When working with families, I assist parents on ways to balance a nurturing and secure parent-child relationship with gentle guidance that enhances their children's social and emotional competence, communication skills, academic potential, creativity, and problem solving skills. Convenient weekday and weekend appointments in Encino and Larchmont Village.
My specialities include the evidence based treatment, Parent Child Interaction Therapy. Through a hearing device and two-way mirror, I coach parents on PCIT techniques designed to nurture the parent-child attachment, increase children's compliance, reduce parenting stress, and enhance children's prosocial behaviors at home and school.
I also specialize in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, an evidenced based treatment. TF-CBT strengthens emotional regulation skills, stress management, cognitive and affective processing, and enhances a sense of safety and trust. Please call me to discuss whether my experience and expertise might be a good match for you.
