Katie Marsh Lyburn, LCSW-C, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Frederick
You can be happy and healthy! I believe there is power and potential in all of us for healing and growth. Together we will work through whatever holds you back from living a more joyful life. Our sessions together will help you engage more fully in the present moment. This process will allow you to experience new ways of understanding, communicating and connecting with yourself and others. If you are going through a period of change or loss, experiencing relationship concerns, having feelings of depression, anxiety, self doubt, or just feeling stuck; I look forward to hearing from you.
I believe the therapeutic relationship is a powerful tool for healing and change. Through our supportive relationship, we will explore patterns, beliefs and old wounds that may keep you stuck. We will develop new ways of understanding and engaging. Life is too short to continue living in a way that doesn't serve you.
My approach can be described as warm, collaborative, and "down to earth". I enjoy working with both Individuals and Couples. I understand and appreciate the courage it takes to go on this journey. I feel honored and grateful to be a part of such an important and powerful process.

Katie Marsh Lyburn's Groups

Process Group

I offer a weekly Process Group for my clients. Group Therapy is a great way to practice how we engage in relationship. It allows a unique opportunity to explore the many patterns of interacting and roles we take on in our relationships. Group therapy is a way to practice interpersonal skills and have honest authentic interaction with others. Group members learn to share and interact with one another in a way that promotes healing and encourages the personal development of each participant. Groups are made up of 4-8 people. Group therapy sessions are held on a weekly basis and are 75 minutes in length.
