I am passionate about helping clients express feelings, adopt helpful thought patterns and achieve meaningful change. I take a holistic view of counseling and my approach is responsive toward the unique needs and strengths of every client. I work to create a safe and encouraging environment where clients can feel valued and heard. I work with clients of all ages and provide play therapy, activity therapy and talk therapy. I have experience with issues such as: depression, anxiety, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, aggression, and school refusal.
I have extensive training on incorporating spiritual issues in the counseling process. I work with clients from all faiths and worldviews and I'm able to offer Christian counseling to clients who prefer it.
As a Cuban-American, I have a familiarity with multicultural contexts and Hispanic culture. I offer bilingual therapy for Spanish speakers.
