Ms. Margie Louise Hackett

Marriage & Family Therapist , MC , MFT , MAC , SAP

(707) 341-6939
I am a licensed Marriage, Family & Child Therapist (MFT) with 29 years training/experience offering short-term therapy to individuals, couples, and groups. For me, life's essence is about learning and growing. While life's challenges may leave us feeling uncertain about how to cope with new experiences, reaching out for support from an objective listener is a natural human response. I offer a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment in which to resolve problems and develop coping skills. My goal is to help you create a balance between internal and external support as you move through life stages.
As a Gestalt therapist and graduate of the Gestalt Institute of Phoenix, I work with individuals and couples in transitional stages of their lives. Gestalt work helps us reclaim disowned parts of ourselves and encourages us to once again, trust our own wisdom, intuition, and feelings.
In addition to working as a Marriage, Family and Child therapist, I'm a NAADAC national board certified Master Addiction Counselor working with abuses of alcohol, drugs & prescription medications. As a DOT qualified (SAP) Substance Abuse Professional, I conduct drug & alcohol evaluations for violations of drug & alcohol work site testing.

Ms. Margie Louise Hackett's groups

Parenting Our Parents

This support group focuses on adult children who find themselves faced with elderly parents needing medical, emotional and financial care-taking. We are a generation facing new challenges and opportunities; how we handle ourselves as caring-takers for our aging parents will help shape the roles of future generations. Our children will someday push our wheelchairs and take us to Sunday dinner. This group will explore our feelings and thoughts on this new role as parents to our parents. The day, time and frequency of this 12 week group will be decided by group vote. Insurances accepted.
