In all forms, relationships are a guiding part of our lives and directly impact how we live. My practice is guided by psychodynamic/psychoanalytic theory, and I believe therapist and client thinking together creates insight and deeper understanding, which allows you to learn about your inner world. As you come to know yourself, a positive space opens up to afford you an opportunity to grow, evolve, and flourish. Having completed four years of post-graduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy and infant and young child observational studies, my clinical experience includes trauma, depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationships, and life-changing events.
The beginnings of our earliest relationships are significant and relevant to our later life experiences. I work with adults, mother-infant pairs, and adolescents experiencing depression, struggling with anxiety, seeking to develop deeper relationships, and desiring to improve their general wellbeing.
Currently, I am an advanced candidate in psychoanalytic training at the Contemporary Freudian Institute and volunteer with Postpartum Support International. Previously, I have served with the Mid-Atlantic Group Psychotherapy Society and Virginia Society for Clinical Social Work.
