Dr. Michael D Forrest

Counselor , PhD , NCC , LPC

(616) 920-0944
I care about the troubled, the misunderstood, the confused, fearful and lost. I like to work with thoughtful, sensitive people who ask questions and who may march to the beat of the proverbial "different drummer." I like to work with spiritual people- artists, writers, musicians, clergy, philosophers, and those who appreciate the wonders of life and have questions and struggles with their place in their world and the nature and intentions of its Creator.
My specialty is helping people with things they have never dared to tell or ask anyone. I provide a safe environment to question, explore and vent, and I offer objective expertise as teacher, mediator, facilitator, coach, and counselor. I help people live with love, purpose, gratitude, and enthusiasm.
I am the Senior Clinical Associate of a growing practice whose staff is committed to providing help and hope with compassion, skill and integrity.

SIRAH (Men's Sexual Addictions)

This psychotherapy, education and support group is an intensive recovery group for men who wrestle with their own sexual abuse, and sexual addiction and compulsive behavior issues in their lives. The group is led by Christian world view therapists who are nationally certified, licensed by the State of Michigan, and trained and experienced in the treatment of men's sexual addictions. This is an open group in which weekly attendance is emphasized for continuity and peer accountability. An initial interview is required for admission into this group, which meets in several locations.
