Michelle A Coomes, MA, LMFT, Marriage & Family Therapist in Davidson
Promoting healthy relationships for couples of all types, families of all kinds and individuals building a better relationship with their own self. I treat a wide range of relational issues such as parent and child/teen, disconnected couples, sexual issues, separation/divorce, adoption and blended families. We all face struggles in our lives, we also have within us the capacity to move through those struggles successfully. I'll help you access the courage, determination and strength within to move towards creating what you want for yourself, your family, and your life.
I love helping parents feel more connected with their children. Using attachment therapy I'll teach you how to use effective parenting techniques to end parent/child arguments and have a happy home. Couples often come to me nearing divorce and I work with them on finding connection again.
Healthy communication is key to a successful relationship and I help my clients build better communication skills that allow them to feel understood. Insurance deductible too high? I offer low cost private pay therapy to get you support without jumping through insurance hoops. Contact me for a free consult.

More about this group

Adolescent Social Media Addiction

Our youth today are faced with an addiction that is new to society and many struggle with how to deal with it. Social media/network is everywhere and learning how to navigate and limit it can be extremely difficult, especially if you are a teen. This group is held with the intention of being a supportive group where teens can learn skills to better manage their compulsion to social media while also understanding the importance of moderation, or in some cases abstinence from it. If you know someone who may be struggling in this area, contact me for details.
