Are you overwhelmed by your feelings? Irritable? Impulsive? Passive? Scared to make changes? Do you feel stuck? Are there obstacles to your happiness? Is your life as good as it could be? It takes courage to face whatever stands in your way. Let's work together to find your hope, your tenacity, and your zest for life. I am a licensed psychologist who specializes in trauma. My evidence-based approach to treatment utilizes primarily cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT). I also work from attachment and family systems theories which serve to understand the individual in the context of his/her primary attachments, family and, current relationships.
I specialize in trauma/PTSD, sexual abuse, domestic violence, combat/war, high risk pregnancy/NICU, and child and family therapy. Additionally, I conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations for children and adolescents. These evaluations clarify diagnosis (e.g., ADHD, Bipolar), guide treatment interventions, and afford academic/testing accommodations.
My office offers weekend hours and free parking. The office is accessible to all individuals (includes wheelchair access).
