Psychologist , PsyD , LP

Are you or your adolescent child struggling with thoughts, feelings, and behaviors related to disordered eating? Fear of weight gain? Loss of control over eating? Preoccupied with eating and weight? I am a licensed psychologist specializing in the assessment and treatment of eating disorders. I use an integrative approach to treatment with basis in cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. I believe that the client is his/her own expert. We take a journey together and find ways to improve the quality of his/her life.
In addition to my specialty in eating disorders, I also maintain a general clinical practice and perform psychological evaluations for bariatric surgery. I collaborate with other health professionals: physicians, psychiatrists, therapists, school counselors, and nutritionists. I work with the client's existing team of providers and/or offer referrals.
I believe that people are self-driven and have the power to change when necessary. At times, change can be scary and uncomfortable and that is when people get stuck in their old ways of thinking and behaving. I provide a warm and safe environment for self-exploration and self-understanding.
