Mitchell Ginsberg, PhD, Marriage & Family Therapist in La Jolla
My work over the past four decades, relaxed and respectful, is with people in great distress and agitation, or simply wanting some satisfaction, fulfillment, a sense of well being, self-understanding and self-harmonization, and caring love in relationships. Soft-spoken and attentive, I help people re-establish a sense of peace and perspective. I am supportive of people's yearning for well-being and natural desire to understand and resolve our conflicts and issues from earlier in our lives and from now. One-hour therapy sessions are a full 60 minutes.
Dealing with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, past trauma, and current fulfillment issues, I work non-judgmentally to help people come to harmony, mutual respect, and intimacy. I see calm awareness and mutual caring as key to developing a life more fulfilling and loving; work that is challenging but deeply satisfying.
Teacher since 1975 in Buddhist mindfulness practice (insight meditation). For my (1) Calm, Clear, and Loving, (2) Peace and War and Peace, (3) Mindful Raft over Troubled Waters, (4) The Inner Palace, and explicitly on therapy, my contributions in (5) Effective Psychotherapy: The Contribution of Hellmuth Kaiser -- see
