Dr. Orit Goldhamer

Psychologist , PsyD

(646) 386-2254
I work with an integrative approach based out of training in a variety of techniques. My experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults has contributed to my understanding of the importance of tailoring psychotherapy treatment based on the client's needs. For children and adolescents, this may include play therapy, talk therapy or a combination. I also feel that parents play an integral role in the therapeutic process. With young adults, your goals and plans for psychotherapy will be addressed in a collaborative process. My professional experiences in school and clinical settings have provided me with training in many areas.
Whether difficulties stem from a family issue, school issue, or from other situational factors, I can be a therapeutic resource. I work with clients with a range of stressors including anxiety, depression, divorce, learning disabilities, parent-child relational issues, peer conflict, and low self-esteem.
I also conduct psycho-educational evaluations to identify learning and emotional issues, help determine appropriate school placement, and offer recommendations and resources. I am happy to speak with you further to offer information regarding my practice. I look forward to hearing from you.
