In my practice, I focus on helping people understand and alter the patterns that stand in their way to actualize their potential, feel alive and whole. I treat people who are striving to find love, or feel lonely in their present intimate relationships or/and their families. I work with people to find a voice to speak their frustrations, longings, and desires, and the courage to use this voice with others. In the safety and non-judgmental therapeutic relationship we seek to understand the origin and role that feelings of anxiety, shame, and worthlessness play so that they lose their inhibiting power, and dissolve away.
I have been a contributor to the NYTimes, as well as to psychoanalytic professional literature. I use my background in Philosophy and art to work effectively with artists, and creative people who strive to give form to their creative drive.
Finally, I work with people who are frightened of others' aggression and of conflict and so find themselves too often in a position wherein their own needs and desires are sacrificed.
