Typically, the pursuit of therapy is motivated by the experience of somehow feeling stuck in your life. I believe the best therapy provides the "right balance" of challenge and support to help you grow through this impasse. I deeply respect both the courage required and the vulnerability one endures to seek help at these times. My hope is that very quickly you will find that I share your intention to come out the other side of therapy with a larger, more effective repertoire of wisdom, insight, and skill necessary to construct the most happy and meaningful life possible for yourself.
I value many therapeutic perspectives and I enjoy maintaining a varied clientele in my private practice. Nonetheless, I would say that I have particular expertise in working with couples issues, individuals, college/graduate school students, and men with resistance or hesitation about being in therapy.
Common issues I encounter in my practice include relationship problems, depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, addictions, and problems related to life transitions, particularly student life challenges.
