Do you feel something is lacking in your life or relationship? Has a traumatic event dramatically changed your life? If your answer is yes, counseling can be beneficial. It is important however to have a good fit with your counselor. I believe one of my strengths lies in my ability to make a caring, respectful connection with clients. My goal is to bring about change, growth, and healing. I will assist you with the needs in your life, help you find new strengths and affirm existing strengths. I work with several issues but have three areas of special interest.
I enjoy working with couples who feel they need a "tune-up" in their relationship. Quite often there are "sticking points" which can be worked through in a few sessions. Secondly I enjoy helping people who are struggling with a significant life transition and feel they need an objective viewpoint.
Thirdly I help people heal and make sense of emotional trauma. When working with trauma I believe it is important to allow the client to lead at a pace they are comfortable with. Change may not always be easy but it is possible. Hope is my ultimate goal for every client.
