A twenty year resident of Anderson County, I have worked with the Anderson Youth Association, Family Counseling Center, Anderson Oconee Pickens Mental Health Center, the Anderson County Detention Center and Patrick Harris Hospital. Prior to coming to South Carolina I worked in the public school systems in Georgia as a special education teacher and a school psychologist, the Northeast Georgia Mental Health Center as a therapist, and the Piedmont Judicial Circuit as an expert witness in sexual abuse cases. I specialize in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and adults.

Rational Behavior Therapy uses a set of strategies that can be applied to managing all emotions including anger, depression, and anxiety. It also teaches problem solving skills and how to anticipate consequences and make better choices. Teens work through a variety of events and discuss many different issues while learning to use these strategies. The format is fun and teens love it.
