Bert Munger, MA, LADC, LCMHC, Counselor in South Burlington
I use a variety of Cognitive Behavioral techniques to help clients change their habits of thinking and feeling. I encourage all of my clients to do therapeutic homework in the form of reading and writing assignments.
I'm not afraid of working with clients who are working on coping with suicidal thoughts, or self-harm. I have a good record of helping clients with substance use problems as well. Of course, you don't have to have to have these problems to see me.
I use brief measures of client progress. This helps me determine when I need to change my approach or maybe when you need to change therapists. If I can't help you, I'll help you find another therapist who can.

Growing up without loving parents or with frequent terrifying experiences leaves them with fewer of the skills they need for happiness and success in relationships and work. If you want to stop letting your painful past determine your future, this could be the group for you.
