I look forward to helping you overcome life stresses that at times may seem too overwhelming to handle on your own. I enjoy working with adults, children, teens and families. In addition to working as a private clinician, I have over 10 years experience working with children and adolescents in school settings and in foster care. Issues such as, depression, anxiety, and low self-worth often contribute to academic failure and can lead to dangerous and self destructive behavior. I assist families in improving communication and helping parents establish clear and reasonable expectations of behavior with their children and teens.
In addition, I also work with children and teens who have experienced divorce, blended families, loss of parent due to incarceration, health issue or death, trauma, abuse/neglect. adjustment to health issues, bullying, low self image and low academic performance.
For individual adults, I also assist in addressing issues related to work stress, unresolved childhood trauma/abuse, depression, anxiety, grief and life transition issues such as recent marriage, divorce, becoming a parent, empty nest, career transition, etc.. I also utilize EMDR to treat both physical and emotional trauma.
