Counseling should be a safe place where you can be yourself without being judged. During our sessions, we work together to sift through your concerns so that you can create order and calmness based upon your goals. All clients are different -- some want to be heard, some want feedback and some want specific strategies. Counseling needs to be flexible and find creative answers, since we all think, feel and learn differently.
My clients are from diverse backgrounds, such as military families, racial/ethnic minorities, people who were foreign-born, religious minorities, and people with disabilities. Many clients are artists or musicians, which can be incorporated into therapy.
My office is near a major intersection, but has a relaxed, peaceful feeling. The waiting room is private and not shared with other offices. Some 8am and 6pm appointments are available. I am happy to answer questions via phone or email.
