Tracy L. Davis, LCSW, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Berkeley
I believe that inside each one of us that there is an innate capacity to heal. Often old narratives or limiting beliefs get in the way and hold us back. My approach is warm, authentic, direct and humorous. I believe that transparency, curiosity and collaboration are integral to the therapeutic process. I honor that people are the expert on their own experiences. I partner with people to cultivate hope, uncover insights, and build upon existing strengths. I incorporate art, mindfulness and sand tray into my sessions. I help people to get unstuck and feel confident in their lives and relationships.
I specialize in working with survivors of trauma and PTSD including those suffering with anxiety and panic attacks. I work with people in recovery and struggling with codependence. I have extensive experience working with teens and their parents. I enjoy working with the LGBTQ community including gender expansive folks.
I offer couples therapy and individual therapy to adults and teens. My approach is holistic, collaborative, gender-affirmative and culturally responsive. I have extensive training in trauma, attachment theory, EMDR, emotional focused couples therapy, and family systems theory.
