Trey Greene, MSW, LCSWA, Clinical Social Work/Therapist in Charlotte
I believe in providing unconditional positive regard and creating a safe environment for all to thrive in being their authentic selves regardless of their identity, experiences, or beliefs. I provide counseling to men, women, and non-binary adults who are struggling with issues related to depression, anxiety, PTSD, past or present traumatic experiences, sexual molestation/assault, abuse, gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation, relationship difficulties, and/or spiritual concerns. I am especially passionate about making sure my practice is welcoming to the transgender community and to male survivors of sexual assault and other traumas.
I provide person-centered, trauma-informed care to individuals and couples. I work from an empowerment-based model focused on client's ability to determine their own path. I use a variety of approaches based on client needs including techniques of SE, ACT, CBT, and solution-focused approach.
I recognize the difficulty of struggling with identity, mental illness, and with multiple layers of trauma. I feel specially suited to work with both cisgender and transgender men, women, and non-binary individuals. I am a member of the Charlotte Transgender Healthcare Group.
