Dr. Virginia Lindahl

Psychologist , PhD

(703) 634-4994
I aim to tailor therapy to the needs of the individual client, since every client has different issues and styles. I practice in a collaborative way with clients. I view the client as the expert on themselves and their issues, but I can offer expertise and skills that they do not have.
I see the client and myself as a team. Together, we test new ways of doing things, looking at issues, and experiencing the world. With children, I work closely with parents and other family members. I do psychological testing for learning disabilities, attention disorders, and diagnosis.
I provide individual and group therapy to kids who are being bullied, helping them develop strategies to combat the problem in a way that is comfortable to them. I also have expertise in helping kids who are being left out, individualizing therapy for them. Please see my website for details.
