Walter Scott Newsom, PhD, Psychologist in Austin
As a psychologist, I enjoy helping clients with practical, evidence-based solutions to problems. As a therapist I use evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you with depression, anxiety, other emotional issues, ADHD, sleep disorders and a variety of life management issues. When you see me, you will feel secure and confident that we are working toward needed changes together. I use a neuropsychological approach to psychoeducational assessments for students from preschool through college. These comprehensive, student-centered assessments help parents and teachers understand the unique combination of abilities that shape both their struggles and their successes.
Student-Centered Assessments for students with Learning Disabilities, ADD-ADHD, Autism, GT and Social, Emotional and Behavioral problems are used for Accommodations, "504" process, Curriculum Modifications, Special Educational Services, IEPs, and Tutoring. If your child struggles, see me to be sure they get the education and services they need.
In therapy, we work collaboratively to reach your goals. Do you want to find your energy and start making your life what you want it to be? Do you want to find your confidence and learn how to keep it? Come see me to get started.
