Dr. Wende J Anderson

Psychologist , PsyD

(321) 348-4691
I am a licensed psychologist specializing in helping people to understand and address their various problems. I particularly enjoy identifying and helping children with academic troubles, including learning disabilities and ADHD. Assessments of Autism, Asperger's Disorder, and other Pervasive Developmental Disabilities are also offered. Moreover, my practice offers neuropsychological testing for people with head injuries, strokes, and suspected dementias. I work to help veterans suffering from PTSD, including those seeking out help from the Department of Veterans Affairs, in addition to helping people to pursue benefits from the Social Security Administration. Individual and group psychotherapy are also offered.
I specialize in the assessment and treatment of people, particularly veterans, suffering from Posttraumatic Stress Disorder. To date, I have assessed more than 1300 veterans from eras including World War II, Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and OEF/OIF. Available treatment modalities include DBT techniques, EMDR, and Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
My practice offers a unique integration of empirically-based assessment and treatment techniques. My immersion in educational psychology makes for a very strong focus on learning within my practice. I am also one of very few female practitioners with extensive experience in the assessment and treatment of veterans, including many women.
