Dr. Collins provides psychological evaluations for children and adults to help unravel and understand the challenges they face. The results serve as a roadmap to determine what types of interventions will work best. The evaluation takes from 10 to 15 hours. Tests cover IQ, memory, language, executive functioning and emotional and neuropsychological screening. The results are provided in a written report and discussed in detail. The report helps you see how you or your child engages with the world. Dr. Collins makes recommendations on what treatments are needed. She also explains the services for which you are legally entitled.
As a licensed psychologist, Dr. Collins has provided psychological evaluations for more than 10 years in the Bay area. She works with children, adolescents and adults to help them recognize and understand their emotional and intellectual life. She provides a detailed picture that includes resources, referrals and recommendations for treatment/services.
Dr. Collins uses cutting-edge techniques in her evaluations thanks to her work in area clinics and the university. She is dually trained in neuro-psychological assessment practices, giving her the ability to look at how the brain works. She also teaches psychological assessment courses to doctoral level graduate students at Alliant International University.
